I've heard the Vitus RI-100 in this set up at my Dealer's showroom powering some lovely Magico Q1's. At it's price point this is an impressive integrated. It has a lot of power & has a smooth, unfatiguing sound which is capable of driving most speaker loads with ease. Good value is a term which comes to mind!

How does your friend like his RI-100? Still love it?

I owned this amp before moving up the ladder to the SIA-025.
The RI-100 is the perfect entry into the wonderful world of Vitus Audio.

I found the sound to have amazing mids and highs. Bass was phenomenal.
For a class AB design I would swear its sound was biased to class A such was the transparency and detail on offer.

One of the best integrated amps under the $15K mark.

One of my favorite rooms at RMAF was the Vitus/Estelon room. The new XB played with separates from Vitus, and it was the best I've ever heard Estelon sound.

To me, Vitus has always been smoother than Burmester, with even more clarity and transparency. I also prefer Vitus to Soulution. I've not heard ASR or the Rega models.

I personally preferred the sound of the Boulder 865 to the RI-100. The Boulder had greater clarity and detail to my ears & sounded more natural. I also thought the bass was snappier. The RI-100 sounds very nice & is a terrific value given the gobs of power, but in the end I guess it comes down to personal preference The SIA-025 otoh is in a different league (as it should be!)

Recently I had a chance of comparing side by side in my listening room the Rega Osiris and the Vitus SS010 ( 25W class A ), both driving my Dynaudio C2 Signature. I was really excited about that since, as I mentioned here, Vitus was the best ( if not THE BEST ) integrated amplifier I have already listened...Unfortunately, I can say that it was a big disappointment.
The Vitus was not able to drive this speaker in a decent volume level and, for my surprise, The Osiris showed to be more transparent, with much better speed and bass response. The Osiris can be considered ( without doubt ) a better integrated amplifier ( at least for the Dynaudio C2 Signature ). We should also consider in this equation that Vitus costs almost two times more. ( even this discontinued model )
Probably the bigger brother ( with 50W Class A ) can drive better the Dynaudio C2 Signature, showing an overall better performance. Maybe, I will test it, however, we will be talking about 4X the Osiris Price and, based on this experience with the Vitus SS 010, I don't think it could be my choice. Let's wait..
