That's probably the main issue, call me crazy, but the Elipsa seems more alive, and dynamic. The Amati is more old school Sonus Faber, rich, warm, but they just seemed slower on some of my music. If you want a touch of these things, but you want a little more modern, agressive speaker, I think the Elipsa is more the choice, for me that is.

One dealer said no, sell them on Audiogon but he was not the dealer I bought the cremona's from. I'll have to give the dealer who sold me the cremona's a call, but I'm pretty happy with the Cremona's now; my wife is not going to be happy

SF speakers are certainly beautiful speakers. I have never had the pleasure of hearing them. They are on my bucket list of audio gear though! So much gear, so little time.
