Default Qobuz vs. Tidal?

Looking for feedback from those that have used Tidal and Qobuz. My taste in music is admittedly narrow - I listen mainly to classic rock and roll. Which of the two has a better selection for this genre of music? The tiebreaker is sound quality. From what I have seen, some prefer Tidal, some Qobuz.

James, why does an original studio recording using 16/44.1 gear and processing sound different than a 24/192 version?

Hi Bill,

Its a good question and one that has many answers depending on whom you ask.

In my opinion the master is far more important in providing a quality recording at 44.1/16Bit than the sample rate or bit rate being used - but that's just my opinion - many will disagree.

James, you have been trying to tell folks this fact for many years. In fact, I am just realizing how good the SP-3 sounds with PCM 44.1/16. I am also discovering how good USB input sounds on the SP-3 with just PCM 44.1/16. Bryston got it right the first time, but the rest of us were wrongly focused on the illusion of hi res. It really just the quality of the master thats important; not sampling rates.
