No need for a car radio
According to the entering college class of 2016 there is no need for a radio in cars.
Having been brought up holding a transistor radio to my ear it's hard to swallow that radio is considered obsolete by our youth. I still remember when FM was something few ever listened to and every one had a radio. Is radio dead? |

Radio is dead.
Completely. Dead. Let it go finish burying itself.

They are too busy texting while driving to tune in a station. Radio isn't what it used to be, but I don't think it's dead yet. Remember they said vinyl was dead too. Of course they were write about 8 tracks, so who knows.

I would think many people still listen to the radio while driving in the car. There are a lot of people who don't care to pay for satellite radio. My wife, son, & daughter all listen to their car radio's. I listen to Sirius.

But really, I still listen to the radio, so until the radio station shuts down... that college class can serve a warning to me and that's that. |

WOW, did you have to rip out your dashboard and make a custom one to install your McIntosh system in your car?
With the car radio "dial" display, the navigation, air conditioning and everything else you car gives you information about coming up on the same display, how did you install the system? It's not like the 1980's where you just took out the OEM radio/cassette and installed an Alpine, Blaupunkt or Nakamichi in its place. |
