Anyone Have a Pioneer 60" Plasma?
The price has dropped so much I was hoping to get some feedback on the 141 or the 151. I'm very tempted to buy one in the next couple of days.
Thanks for any & all info. Mike

Yes, I do. Best Plasma TV you can own.
Those $3,995 deals on the 151 that Magnolia has almost make me want to buy another. |

They're both around the same price now. Would you get the 151 even if you don't need the speakers & the stand(just in case you need them later)? I've been hearing the 141 is "suppose" to be a little better.

I've seen them both right next to each other and could not tell a difference. The Pioneer rep was pointing out some things that none of us could see, imagine that.
I'd get the 151 just because I might need the speakers/stand in the future. You never know what might change where those items come in handy. |

Did you have it professionally calibrated?

I have 2 141s, just picked up the 2nd...superb TVs! I hang mine and run them in systems, so the speakers are useless as is the tuner. The 141s are a couple inches slimmer, are "hand" made. They have a few more adjustments available to pro calibrators. I have not had mine calibrated yet, but plan to.
Be aware that these TVs do have a slight buzz. If you have the volume muted you can hear it when the screen is on from 2 or 3 feet...it doesn't bother me at all, and when do you have everything muted? However, there were some people upset by this, better to let you know up front. You can't go wrong with either the 141 or the 151...I highly recommend them!

Nope, when you can't see the alledged improvements without somebody pointing things out i'm not impressed. That's the case with the pro calibration i've seen on the TV's.
I should point out that the 151 with those speakers attached makes for a pretty big TV. |

But you mentioned you got the 151 just in case you needed the stand and speakers in the future, right. Makes sense. In a few years it could end up in a room that you need those accessories. But then maybe not....Life's a gamble I guess.

I had the 151 Elite. And yes I did have it calibrated. It made a difference. Another option is to buy the software ConrolCAL and unlock the ISF-Day and ISF-Night modes yourself. Still note, a professional cal will be better, IMO.

I have a 151 and couldn't be happier. At this point I haven't had it calibrated yet, but still a fantastic picture. Don't wait, go get one before they're gone.
