Myles, great looking 'table and setup in general. How does the Direct compare to the Classic 3 overall? What is that center clamp you're using on the Direct? Have you compared it to the VPI clamp and/or Stillpoints' clamp?

Can't say anything about the two tables since haven't compared them head to head.

The clamp is the HIFI Tuning clamp I reviewed a while back for Positive Feedback. Still find it better than the stock VPI center clamp.

How do you like the Summit X speakers. Are they everything that a CLS could be. Would a CLS and Depth Charge subs be comparable? Do you know.

Do you love the Summits?

Awesome rig, love all the gear, but the R2R takes my heart. Only wish I still had mine.

Thanks, it's near and dear to my heart. It was either put my money into a digital or tape source and I chose the latter. Never looked back as there are now 18 companies releasing music on 15 ips tape!
