This system is horizontally Tri-amped and Tri-wired. Meaning one amp handles the bass for each speaker, another handles the mids for each, and the last handles the highs for each.

Marc... Not silly at all; prior to adding subs the Aida's had excellent bass. They do after all each have a down firing 13" infra-woofer.

Adding a pair of subs crossed over very low, and feathered in add what I refer to as the 4th dimension. They provide a more palpable; lifelike reproduction of live music. Percussion, and instruments that perform in that range can be felt as well as heard.

Did the Aida's need subwoofers? Certainly not, but that has never stopped me before.

What is the low-end response of the Aida infra woofer? Does it go lower than 32Hz?
I thought the JL f113s would probably cover a tad lower than that. Just curious,
I'm sure the support on those low notes from them is sublime.

Beautiful looking system. Interesting that you have the bass traps on top of the subs. I didn't realize that was something that could be effectively done. Gives me some ideas for my own setup.

Aida's specs say 20Hz-35kHz, but there is no denying what I'm now experiencing.
