Damian Janzen replied to me already ().

Apparently he is in Hong Kong and will be following up with the importer / distributor. I hope he can sort things out expediently and to my satisfaction. I have told him that there is a big following here for his products so here's to hoping.

Howard.......I would think that PurePower would want to dig into Howie's unit to see what caused the failure. It is one thing to have an AC regenerator fail or malfunction in some other way, but to have one explode is highly unusual. It makes me think that some other protection circuit(s) failed that should have activated to prevent such an occurrence. If I were PurePower, I would be assigning an engineer to Howie's PurePower unit to find out exactly what caused the explosion.

I have been considering switching the two PS Audio Power Plant Premier units I have in my main system for PurePower, but this problem has me reconsidering. I will wait to see how PurePower handles this problem unit, and hopefully we will be told what caused the issue.

Mr. Janzen: I have 2 of the PurePower 2000's protecting and feeding "Mega-Dollars" of equipment. I am recommending them to many, many people. Please let us know when the engineers determine the cause of this occurence. We have well over 20,000 members of this site who will be interested in how a first-class company responds.
