Nothing is blowing up and my system doesn't draw much power, so it may be okay.
I don't see any reason why hooking things up the way you have would harm anything. The only downside if you even want to look at it that way would be that you have a certain percentage of your gear not protected from large voltage swings.

Right now, the only thing not connected to the SPR is my VPI SDS for the turntable, which is plugged into the Elite-15PFi. I've also been told that, as a voltage regulation device, the SDS shouldn't be plugged into another such device (the 15PFi does offer extreme voltage shutdown, so I haven't been concerned). Still, maybe I should get a more detailed explanation of why, as I don't remember.

It is odd that when you talked to them they described a hookup that differs from their published documentation. I must admit I'm now curious why they told you to do it that way.

I have had 3 Cinepro Pro-Power 20 power conditioners in my home theatre from day 1. This unit was actually made by Furman with the Cinepro faceplate. All are plugged into seperate 20A services. One of them is dedicated to the Krell KAV-1500. Another has 2 Crown K2's plugged into it and the last one supports all the low power stuff. They work.

Right now I'm using a cheap monster cable rack power conditioner .
I want to buy a Furman . What should I get for about 1,600 ?
Also will I hear a difference in sound ?

The SPR-20i I have retails for about $1500 if you need voltage regulation (I got mine through Masterlu for less); the Elite-15PF goes for about $700 MSRP and features a 45A current reserve for power amps. Both feature automatic voltage shutdown.

As for sound improvements, I'll say that the background is quieter, which lets me hear what is going on in whatever I'm playing more cleanly. I don't think highs are higher and lows lower in the sense that the conditioners themselves create that. Clean, controlled power allows your components to function better and you hear them at their best.

It was to take advantage of the Elite's high-current reserve as I recall, though my system doesn't seem to need it. The SPR is plugged into one of the Elite's high-current outlets.

Interesting...I didn't realize Masterlu was a Furman dealer.
