The MR88 is the best of the last way we all "streamed" our music.

Today, my Sonos Connect has replaced my XM tuner and AM/FM radio stations.

Default Xm mini tuner

This is what you get with a freshly made(with in the last couple of weeks) MR 88. No XM mini tuner.

The XM tuner was never included, always a separate purchase.

Default XM tuner module for MR88?

What is currently available for adding XM functionality to an MR88? Mcintosh has discontinued the unit (unavailability of FMHD chipset, I have heard). But would like to add XM to a unit purchased recently from Audio Classics. THX.

I think something like this will work. (I hope it's ok to post this link.)

Yeah if memory serves, that's the only antenna that'll work on the MR88. I'm listening to XM on my MR88 as we speak, for the price I like the variety of content.

The XM tuner that is being linked too is the one that came with mine second hand.
I have never used it because with Tidal, satellite and Fm I just don’t have the time.
I do use xm in the car so look forward to different material at home. The mr88 is beautiful
and sounds fantastic with hd stations. I purchased from a fellow aa after they announced
they were going to stop making it with xm. I think the mr88 is one of the best looking
tuners made and I love the nostalgia.

I have been referred to tss-radio.com which sells the XM tuner gear apparently needed to use the feature on the MR88. I've ordered kit and a 50 for amplified extension cord for the antenna so I can try different placements. Hope this works.

This is a pretty old thread but I just purchased an MR88 Tuner from Audio Classics. Should be receiving it tomorrow.
