They had a prototype of the F228 (with Be tweeter) - the sound was fantastic. Kevin Voecks himself was doing the demo. If the production models sound as good as the prototypes did - they have a seriously excellent product at the $10K price point.

Aurum Cantus. This was the $5000 entry level room where everything total was $5000. The speakers were $1800/pair with a 60 day in home trial. Go buy a pair. NOW. This was my best budget sound at the show. Hands down. You would not believe how nice these speakers sounded. Just beautiful. Smaller presentation obviously than the bigger systems but just as enjoyable.

Right on ... these sounded amazing for the $$$. I'm considering getting a pair for my second home over on the West side of the State.

PHC1 - The Dynaudio's were there (I believe) and demo'd by Denver area dealer Crescendo. Sounded great to me :-)

FYI - a good amount of the sound at the show this year (about 70%) was not very good (overly bright and strident). The one's that you asked about happened to be excellent sounding displays.

I was under the impression from Kevin that these were pretty much the production version. I thought they sounded absolutely great given the tiny room they were in. Am afraid the white drivers will hurt their commercial success a bit though...

The white drivers are a bit annoying looking, but they sounded great. Kevin did say that these were "pretty much" the version that will be produced, but they were still prototypes - not production versions. There "shouldn't" be any difference given Revel's QA/QC, but ... they were prototypes.
