Power cable length
I’ve been thinking about updating the power cord to my Denali. Currently I have a Cobra Zitron 1.7 meters long. I’d like to shorten this as the power cords to the remainder of my system are plenty long to allow movement of the Denali closer to the wall. I remember reading that a shorter power cable could give up some performance. I however cannot remember if this was component related only or would also apply to power conditioners such as my Denali?

Hi Don....I've seen it mentioned before that the shortest length for a power cord should be 1.75 meters. Shorter than that and there would be degradation of performance.
I try to stick with 2M.

On another note....would there be any performance issues on a power cord that's to long?

Power cable length
The answer may lie in which cable manufacturer you subscribe to. I’m using AQ Hurricane HC power cords. Based on where my Niagara power distributor and amp IEC sockets lie, I have 1.75m on one amp and a 1.0m on the other amp which drive my L/R speakers. I was concerned about a perceived sonic difference left vs right speaker, worried about an imbalance. Via email, cable designer, Garth Powell, said no way will I hear sonic differences with power cord lengths of this order. He was right, of course.
