Thanks Bart, my wife calls them the nicest furniture we have, my children call them the big ginger bread men. :-)

Hi Junker,
Thsts been on my mind as well. What's the best configuration for Mr T's? Giscours on one and the two power Amps on another? Do the Mr T's just go into the wall? Should the digital kit be one the Mr T's as well?

All thoughts appreciated

Very nice room Paul, everything is clean and well integrated.

I will be soon doing the same thing as I'm relocating from Paris to London in the fall.

Those are good questions! I have a single Mr. T ordered but I don't have as much gear as you. I'm assuming there is a UK version...hope there is!

In the US each Mr. T has six outlets on the back and I believe it can support up to 5A. In the US I think they use the same ubiquitous ~2m unassuming gray cord. There is a thread here on AA where Jonathan Halpern and Matt Rotunda chime in with some applications notes.

Basically I would check with them to see if both of your amps and pre-amps would be okay off of a single Mr. T. I think those 3 components would draw 270w and should be fine... but I have heard that is it much better to draw much less than the limit from isolation transformers. If they recommend separate, then one amp on each would be a way to go with the Giscours on whatever one is more convenient. If you are able to run them all off of one Mr. T, then you could go and run most of your other gear off of the second unit, but IMO you definitely do not want any switching power supplies (i.e. MacMini) or motors (TT) on the secondary output side of the transformer to pollute all of the connected devices and negate some of what it is there for in the first place.

Just some thoughts to help clean up your space, improve the SQ of your gear, and provide some electrical protection.

Thanks Junker,
That's a good start for the Mr T's. Before I jump into that purchase I'm thinking about the main rack and whether I want to move the amps behind the speakers on little amp stands and get the CD player back in the rack. This requires longer power cables (there is no power outlet on the right hand side of the room) and the selection of Shindo friendly amp stands.

And to get that amazing pre-amp back up to the top shelf where it belongs!

P.S.: What is a CD?
