Ruling against Chord for cable advertizing
I find this interesting: the UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA, "The Advertising Standards Authority is the UK's independent regulator of advertising across all media.") has ruled that Chord's advertising claims for their cables are unsubstantiated and misleading and must be taken off their website. This could have a chilling effect on over-the-top cable claims. See the link, and apologies if this has already been posted somewhere.

This was an interesting read. They could go after almost all cable companies as most claims are very subjective.
That being said I wonder based on the nature of the complaint if this was initiated by a competitor. Does not seem logocal complaint was initiated by a customer.

Interesting finding. We all know that we all hear things differently. While a Chord set may sound great to some, it won't sound great to everyone.
I agree...the claims made by Chord as worded are pretty subjective, however, so is everyone's hearing. Whatever will all those reviewers out there do now that cable companies can't quote their findings?
