Sorry to piss you off but from (experience) your question is apparently less about wanting real opinions from people who have owned the exact table and cart than it was about wanting people to tell you how great the combo is. Hopefully you will be happy for years to come, if your not your welcome to post and I will help you out with more experience |

I'm using Cadenza Blue with a VPI prime (3D arm) into an Audio Research SP20 and Audio Research Ref-75se, so all valves downstream. Phono stage on the SP20 dictated the higher output of the Blue, but I'm pleased with it. Everything I read suggested the Blue was more detailed and analytical (which I read as "less warm"). I thought it might create a more balanced (I think I mean neutral) sound and it does.

I agree the blue is a great match with the 3D arm |

Thanks amaglioc, I have been considering the Blue after reading about the warmness of the Bronze. If the Black had a higher output it'd be a no brainer for me.

I believe Avid's personal observation is a data point that you should consider, and it is right - as an observation. There is no substitute for experience, and I say go for it and see what you think!

Well I just picked up a Bob's Device's SUT for half off retail so it looks like I'm leaning towards the Black now that output is no longer an issue.

Steve.......I use the Ortofon Cadenza Black with an SME309 tonearm on my Michell Gyro SE turntable. It is a fine performer that sounds terrific. I also use an Ortofon Cadenza Blue with a Micro Seiki M505 tonearm on my Micro Seiki DD-40 turntable. It gets very close to the sound of the Cadenza Black. I am very pleased with both cartridges.
