I have mine placed as close to my mains as possible, both of them are about an inch to the left and right respectively and about 6 inches back from the front baffle of each main tower. Experimentation is necessary of course, but your options are much greater with dual subs since you don't have to worry about output like you may with a single sub. - Buck
Good to hear. That is almost exactly where mine will go. About a foot away from the mains and about six inches behind them. I have lots of room on the long front wall so I am going to fill it with speakers. Ha.

So..added the second REL sub to my system and am VERY happy with the results. Does seem to smooth the whole bass spectrum out and make it less peaky. Also seems more dynamic but that could just be the extra volume from two subs so I am still playing with volume settings. Went from 11 clicks up from zero with one sub to 8 clicks up from zero with both subs.. level seems about right for now. Fun part is that its easy to switch between no sub, one sub, and stereo subs to hear the diffrrence. Diff between one and two isnt as big as when you add the first sub, but its noticeable. I will never be able to go back to no subs. Ever. Just sounds more real and alive and full.
