Upon return, with the new breed of transformer, it was a better sounding amp. My recommendation is that anyone with an earlier version transformer with that "buzz" that your dealer or ARC will try to convince you is par for the course and can be "fixed" with different wires, grounds, etc should get the unit repaired and the transformer replaced. The amp is too expensive and too good not be at its optimal and one of my buddies who likewise purchased shortly after me had similar issues and had his transformer "updated". Too many of us with the same problem and it is a problem with the early transformers that YOU shouldn't have to jump through hoops to deal with.

This sounds like the issue I had with my Ref75SE, the issue was a faulty transformer. It occurred after about 30mins of usage.
