Congrats, and enjoy! I use a mix of GL and some NOS tubes in my C22/MC275 but the GLs are a superb tube in both units. Since I bought my 22/MC275 several years ago I have had no desire to change anything but the tubes and DAC driving therm. Truly wonderful music-makers.

I use stock tubes in my MC275LE running mono from a c500.
The tubes start to sound sweet after about one album (45 minutes). However, if one waits for all the transformers to warm up (about 2 hours) than the sound stage really opens up, the sound becomes more coherent top to bottom and it just sounds more musical. These are not subtle improvements.

When I had my MC2301's it took about 30 minutes or so to really get dialed in

+1 on the around 30mins for warmup, also developing the habit of starting up the system and going to to something for a short while...

I also swapped tubes recently to the Gold Lions and I’m feeling in a similar manner. Sound was very good before and continues to be such after the change. Cannot really say it sounds better but it definitely does not sound worst if anything about the same.

Happy that I have new tubes and hopefully won’t have to fuss with that for a good while, plus some spares in case something does happen.

I unfortunately will not be able to provide feedback on how the Gold Lion tubes compared to the original stock tubes in my MC275VI due to the fact that as of yesterday, I am no longer an MC275 club member. This is because I was given the opportunity to do an in home demo of an MC462 over the weekend just to see what I thought of it and how it compared to my MC275VI. What I discovered is that for my listening style and musical preferences, the MC462 did everything better. I'm not saying that the MC275VI is not a great amp, I just found the MC462 more to my liking so yesterday I traded in my MC275VI and purchased an MC462. I'll continue to check in on you MC275 owners, but I will no longer be able to attend club meetings. Now for me to turn it up to eleven.

Congratulations... I’ll be looking forward to read about your experience with the new amp, that’s a very nice piece of gear.

I’m excited. Yesterday I swapped out the demo MC462 with one that is new in the box. It’s sitting in my garage right now because I have to add an extra support to my shelf due to the weight difference between the MC462 and the MC275VI. I should have the new MC462 hooked up tomorrow.

I recently reduced my MC275MkVI amps down to a single amp. At my listening levels (no longer concert dB levels) the single amp is doing just fine driving the Sf Electa Amator IIIs.

Enjoy! It’s a whole other country.
