Congrats, and enjoy! I use a mix of GL and some NOS tubes in my C22/MC275 but the GLs are a superb tube in both units. Since I bought my 22/MC275 several years ago I have had no desire to change anything but the tubes and DAC driving therm. Truly wonderful music-makers.

I use stock tubes in my MC275LE running mono from a c500.
The tubes start to sound sweet after about one album (45 minutes). However, if one waits for all the transformers to warm up (about 2 hours) than the sound stage really opens up, the sound becomes more coherent top to bottom and it just sounds more musical. These are not subtle improvements. Mike S |

When I had my MC2301's it took about 30 minutes or so to really get dialed in

I also swapped tubes recently to the Gold Lions and I’m feeling in a similar manner. Sound was very good before and continues to be such after the change. Cannot really say it sounds better but it definitely does not sound worst if anything about the same. Happy that I have new tubes and hopefully won’t have to fuss with that for a good while, plus some spares in case something does happen.
