Default Does anyone have a SoTM ethernet switch?

Does anyone have a SoTM ethernet switch? Do you like it? What's your Ethernet switch?
My ethernet switch ins't in the chain between my PC and MA8900 integrated amp. I went with a Jcat usb card.
I don't know if an upgraded ethernet switch could help, and perhaps a media server would be a better choice.

Send a message to Guillaume. He has the SoTM switches and is running a Cybershaft OCXO 10 MHz clock with them. He has had many of the high end switches and has a lot of experience with streaming products.

I don't have the SOtM Ethernet switch, but I have the UpTone Audio EtherREGEN and it was key in my digital streaming front end to getting the system fully comparable in audio performance to my LPs/TT system. The SOtM switch is uses better clocks and a better power supply than a generic, consumer-grade switch, but it does not use the fully differential circuitry, differential isolators and differential flip-flops that the UpTone EtherREGEN does, and therefore it does not prevent in the impact of upstream clock phase noise and leakage current from passing through the switch downstream to cause increased threshold jitter and timing errors in network bridges and DACs. I discuss this in detail in my forthcoming review in TAS in the December digital components issue.

Moreover, Hans Beekhuizen has reviewed and directly compared both the SOtM Switch and the EtherREGEN and was of the view that the EtherREGEN was superior. His review is linked here: https://youtu.be/Io4SDi5hLxs

You should also watch his video on the Sound of Switches, which if very informative here: https://youtu.be/BbRF8z8dQFU

Last but not least, the EtherREGEN is $640, the SOtM sNH100 with their clock is $1500. Even the base model SOtM switch is $160 more expensive than the EtherREGEN.

Uptone's products also come with a 30-day no-questions asked return policy, so if you don't like it, you can return it for a full refund.
