Default Ref Phono 2se replaces my Fosgate Signature

Friday I procured an Audio Research Ref Phono 2se to replace my Fosgate Signature phono preamp. Thanks Tim! This is the last major upgrade I am going to do for quite a while.

The Ref Phono 2se is just truly amazing. The sound stage is bigger and more detailed. The instruments have more air around them. The bass is tighter, crisper and better defined. My Fosgate signature is a nice musical phono stage but the Ref Pnono 2se is just so much better in every way. Like my matching Ref 5se, it lets you peer deep into the music and hear things you have never heard before.

I'm glad you're enjoying it. You've put together a v. nice system.

The Ref Phone 2SE is absolutely incredible! I think that the longer you have it, the more you're going to like it!

I think so too. And the tubes are new so they are just breaking in. The combination of the Ref 5se and Ref Phono 2se is just magical.
