I think the sequence of changing power cords is system dependent, in the past when my main system was on 1 power group only, I got the best result by improving the power cord of my CD player (DAC), now with multiple power groups available (digital and analog separate), I hear less of a difference if I change the power cord to my digital sources.
I have tried a few power cords on my integrated, the crystal cable dreamline came out on top. One interesting thing I discovered with my power cords (all Shuko), when checking the hot side on the plug, I always see a small voltage on the cold side (vd hull pole checker), probably induction, except with my NBS Black label power cord, with that cord there is no voltage on the cold side. And this power cord works best on my digital sources. Above might be a coincidence, but I am interested to hear if someone has the same experience

I got the most improvement by upgrading the power cords to my dual mono amp.

There was surprising and significant improvement when I changed the PC on my preamp. All sources run through it, and it feeds the power amps. I changed it not because I was expecting improvements, but because of the much better IEC grip it offered over the previous cord. Changing out the cords on the amps yielded some further improvement as well, but the preamp improvement was of a greater degree.
