Hendricks Gin

Just tried this gin recently. Very smooth. According to the tag around the bottle it tastes better in Gin and Tonic with a cucumber instead of a lime. I tried it and it really does!

Mike.......I like a good gin and tonic with a lime twist. Never, ever thought of dropping a slice of cucumber in it.

Give it a shot. It was very pleasant and enjoyable. But, I think I still prefer the lime.....

Mike.......I'll have to look around. Until tonight I never heard of Hendricks Gin. Sounds interesting enough to try.

Hendricks is one of the few gin's I can actually stomach. Not as botanical as others out there - and the cucumber is a great idea. Cucumber gets little respect in beverages but is very refreshing and cuts down on a lot of bite that some dishes/drinks have.

havent heard of either.. doubt i'll find it around here, hell, still tryin to track down a bottle of chopin.. did find some tito's and that was very good ..

Hendrix is pretty good, but you should try Oxley Gin. It's hard to find in regular liquor stores because its small batch gin. High end restaurants is where you'll usually find it. Really good steakhouses. But they have to get it from somewhere. I found a source but they have to special order it for me.

Dan, it's smooth and makes a fantastic dry martini. Sometimes I have to wait 2 weeks before my supplier can get a few bottles.

JBT.......OK, then. The next time I am at the Spirits shop I will look for Oxley and Hendrick's. A Gin shootout might make a fun evening.
