Default Sonus Faber Cremona to PMC OB1i

I like my Cremona's but the the bass is kinda lacking. The Cremona requires finicky set-up which my room does not allow. I understand with the PMC Transmission line you can put these close to the wall without problem

You've been listening listening to that .1 channel of your Home Theater too much.

If you really need additional bass, add a small sub to your Cremona's.

A lot of PMC owners are still using a sub as well.

The Cremona measured frequency response only goes down to 32Hz. On the other hand, the Amati Homage Anniversario goes down to 24hz. I heard the Anniversario with Ayre monos in a large open space and it is beautiful sounding $27K speakers.

Definitely, the PMC OB1i, PB1i etc will have better bass extension.

Even though I run a PS112 with my OB1i, I really can't tell when the sub is on or off. This is consistent with what Peter Thomas told me when I was considering the OB1i. As a matter of fact, he suggesteed that I not use a sub.

Peter Thomas! Mr. PMC himself! Can't argue with that advise. Especially considering PMC sells subs.

I didn't get a Sub because my OB1's were lacking base. I got it, well,..... because I just wanted it. I wanted to replace a JBL sub I had and really didn't like.

Every system will see an improvement with a JL... I will say that life will be improved with a JL... That said, the OB1i has a reputable edge in the bass register against it's competition... I would definitely heed Mr. Thomas' words of wisdom, he knows a thing or two about HiFi! ... A demo never hurt.

That is your opinion.
