OK...... that said, I'm loving the TB2i with Bryston power. I have to admit that new speakers seem to take many, many hours to break-in. I almost gave up on a set of Joseph Audio speakers a couple of years back. And the TB2i have been the same. Probably have 3-400 hours on them and they are finally coming into their own and are sounding better and better. My preference is for fast, detailed speakers, and the TB2i is doing just that.

So if these are the next gen PMC's, does that mean the 'i' series will be discontinued? Or will these sell along side the i series?

And what about next gen for the bigger i series speakers like the OB1 and PB1 will we see 3 way versions in the twenty series soon?

For the foreseeable future the I series will be continued.

I'm still confused with PMC product portfolio. In practical terms is there a rank? How do the following compare: 22, DB1i, IB2i, TB2i...

I'll visit a PMC dealer next week and would like to at least understand the basics upfront...

DB1i - 21 model
TB2i - 22 model
GB1i - 23 model
FB1i - 24 model

I think its safe to assume the 21 thru 24 models will eventually replace the first four i models, as to when is unkown but I have been told the i models will be around for awhile as Ian mentioned above. IMO the new Twenty series is a slight improvement over the I series, its not huge but more so of a refinement.

I've read that the twenty series is not quite as punchy in the low end as the i series. That would make me lean to the i series if true. Regarding mids and highs, I suppose anythings possible, but it doesn't get much better than what I'm hearing from my OB1i's. Hard to imaging much of an improvement.

Regarding mids and highs of the OB1i, and the EB1i, I fully agree. I do not see how they could be much better.

If you compare the twenty series with the equivalent i series models I think you'll find the twenty's play a bit more clean on the bottom which could give you a sense of more bottom or punch with the i series.....I really don't find huge differences in that area between the two, slight is what I would call it. I do find the twenty series to be a bit more open and airy sounding and enjoy that aspect of the twenty series more so than the i series (remember equivalent models here)......the voicing of these two series of speakers are not worlds appart....both are very good!
