Yeah, their product nomenclature is confusing at best.

SOtM dCBL-CAT7 Ethernet Cable
Hello all!
I am an admitted cable believer. Went thru Audience, Audioquest to get to Synergistic Research and up their line. The only cable I ignored was the ethernet cable connecting to my Lumin A-1. Partly due to length I required which is 8.5m. Finally tried a Supra Cat 8, which was a nice improvement and only $180. no big deal compared to $6K power cords. Continued researching and decided to bite the bullet and ordered SOtM dCBL-CAT7. Speaking to Kamal at Crux Audio, we broke it up into a 4m plus 4.5m with their iSO-CAT6 filter joining them. I was going to let everything run in for a couple of days which they recommend, but not being the patient type, just went in for a quick listen. They have about 10 hours of burn in on them. In all my years of upgrading cables I have NEVER had this dramatic, positive change. I'm stunned as my system was already very good...highly resolving, great separation and air....3D, very holographic to the point I call it immersive and yet EVERYTHING is better....quieter background, which I believed to be impossible to improve, greater separation and air, denser / meatier sonic images yet more clearly defined. Sound stage is deeper and wider and speakers are totally invisible. Cuts I know very well and listen to almost nightly I am hearing details and spatial que's that I had never noticed...I am totally blown away....more detailed, realistic and yet no edginess or glare....shocking!!! I would highly recommend this cable. I have absolutely no affiliation with this company just a Mc lover and audiophile and admitted SR fan. I'm including a review that first pointed me in this direction....I have followed this reviewer and we have a lot of the same SR gear...I let him spend his money first. Enjoy the music! Oh, and this reviewer also reviewed the SotM sNH-10G Ethernet Switch referred to in this thread. https://audiobacon.net/2017/03/16/so...l-cat7-review/ https://audiobacon.net/2019/04/05/so...switch-review/ https://audiobacon.net/2017/03/16/so...l-cat7-review/ |
