I am a Shunyata fan and have the Triton V3 (I have each of the last 4 versions so I am very familiar with each iteration) . With the first Hydra I owned, Shunyata did not recommend plugging the amp into it as there would be a slight reduction in available current draw. As the model was further developed with each new iteration, I heard and read that the Triton was actually beneficial to an amp. So, when I received my Triton 3, I plugged my entire system into it. After a month or so, I came to believe that my system sounded cleaner but seemed to have lost some of its its dynamic energy. I removed the amp from the Triton V3 and plugged it directly into the wall with a Sigma pc. The dynamics improved noticeably instantly. and that is the way I have kept it. Try removing only the amp from the Triton and compare. Your results may or may not match mine.

Thanks for sharing your findings. I guess I will have to try as well when the time comes.

In my case, considering that I have two duplexes in front of the room, I came to believe of these 2 possible configurations:

1- Get a Triton, and plug everything into it.
2- Get a Triton, plug it in one of the two duplexes, and plug the amplifier alone in the other duplex. Not sure if this would worth it in this case but I have a Venom Defender that is not being used that I could plug in the same duplex of the amplifier.

One thing is for sure is to get a Triton. But my, these are hard to come by on the used market!
