Over the last six month, I gradually started upgrading my ww silver line cables for platinum ones.
The majority was bought right here on AA ads. Slowly, all interconnects and power cords were replaced. Only the last piece, speaker cable, was missing. I need a 3m run, and at around $20k retail, that was out of question. A couple of weeks ago, a good opportunity for a used 3m bi-wire pair appeared. The price was right and I pulled the trigger.

Yesterday I finally put it to work. I had to modify the furniture hole once the platinum is fairly wider than the silver. 5h job. Done!

The cable was previously burned so I think it will peak quickly if it is not already there. First impression: WOW. I never thought a cable could do this!! It is like i upgraded my preamp or player. I could not believe. The change in the speaker cable was in another level when compared to what the i/c and power cables did.

What was it that impressed me? Detail plus some more detail on top. There is one saying that we read a lot in forums which is: I am hearing things I never heard before. I think people use this phrase too easily. My time to say it came.
There is so much more detail and information coming that the sound has became grander at my usual listening volume. Secondly, for the first time i clearly and consistantly see the sound stage extending outside of the speakers. I mean being wider than the speakers. Phenomenal!!

It is not cheap, but I have never done any cable upgrade in all levels that surprised and pleasead me this much.

A friend of us vintage_tube is selling a pair of this babes, right here, right now. If you considered it, think again. These dont come by used frequently. Why? Because there is nowhere higher to climb. You are at the top.

Best

Fabiano, you have me intrigued. Are you saying the WW Platinums are a BIG improvement over the Silver Eclipse 6's?

Oh YES!! I would strongly try to audition a pair in your system. You will probably be very well surprised. I was expecting minor difference based on what i heard when going from silver to plats on interconnects and power.

Fabiano, I just checked the price sheet. First, I salute you! Second, mine will have to wait until I hit the lottery.

So what are your plans for the silver WW cables?

hi Cheezywhiz,

good question.... i will certainly sell them. just that i can get i bit more on the used mkt locally then selling them here on AA which is US mkt. here in brazil, we can normally sell used for the same price of a new one in US.

best
