Jim.......14 days is not a great distance from the surgery so I would expect the discomfort to continue for awhile longer. Hopefully the meds are keeping you relatively comfortable. Time and rehab will improve everything. Four months from now you will be thrilled you had the operation and the pep in your step will be back. All the best to you.

My sincere best wishes or a speedy recovery, and in the shorter term to get past the pain. A friend went through this a couple of years ago and he was back golfing within a few months. Long-term pain like this sucks, and the meds to control it start to suck after a while as well, but I'm sure it will get better.

Thank you all. I remain positive and your good wishes certainly help.
The bummer is we have tickets to both Saturday and Sunday at the US Open in Pinehurst NC. Carmen and I would be there but instead my son and his buddy are going Saturday and my daughter and son-in-law are going Sunday. I will be enjoying the championship in front of the TV just the same. No beer or wine with the meds though. Will have good sound from the McIntosh and B&W and see more from the Panny than they will. I will call it a win!
