Hey guys. I've got most of the LEDs installed in my 7300. I had to remove and replace all of the rotted foam used around the meters and on the rear of the faceplate as well. Things look good so far, except for two of the four LEDs in the right meter housing. They appear to be of a slightly different color than all of the rest which makes the meter look a little washed out. Fortunately I bought a few extras, so I'm planning to swap out those two LEDs to see if I can even things out.

Not sure if I can post links here, but the LEDs I used were from the auction site. I used the warm white variant for everything. There are some kits available that use a mix of warm white (meters) and green (faceplate lettering). The warm white looks okay to me for the faceplate lettering but I won't know for certain until I get it back in the rack next to the C52.

All in all, it's a pretty easy job. Removing the case and faceplate, cleaning the glass and removing the meter 'haze', and replacing all the foam takes longer than changing out the bulbs. Note that the bulbs are soldered in.

I'm a terrible photographer, but I will try to post some pictures when I get it back in the rack.

Quick update. I swapped out the two bulbs that looked different than the rest. Turns out the new ones look the same. I think the real issue is that the blue filter gel behind the meters is a little yellowed. The was reflecting back at the LEDs causing them to also look a little more yellow than the rest. I did not replace the gels, and honestly I'm not even sure how to get at them. Looks like the meters would have to come out.

I've attached a quick picture of the 7300 on my bench with the LEDs installed. The word STEREO is definitely brighter than the rest of the lettering. I'm thinking the green LEDs I've seen advertised would actually help make the lettering pop.
