Default Best Way to Connect Oppo UDP-205 to Bryston BDA-3 DAC

So I recently acquired a Bryston BDA-3 DAC. My Aurender N100H was previously connected to either the DAC in my Oppo 205 or the DAC in my c2500 preamp. Needless to say the BDA-3 smokes both of them.

Now I want to use the Bryston BDA-3 DAC with my Oppo 205. It appears I have 2 choices. Either the HDMI audio only output of the Oppo 205 to the HDMI input of the Bryston BDA-3 or using the Coaxial Digital Audio Output to the S/PDIF1 input.

Which is preffered?

Thanks

I would suggest the HDMI (audio) output of the 205 because (1) it places no limits on the output resolution and (2) it is a unique HDMI output which uses audio-optimized clocks rather than the commonly-applied video clocks.

In addition to what Kal said, HDMI can pass DSD from the Oppo which you cant do via the coaxial digital. Definitely HDMI is the way to go for you.
