Giving serious thought to replacing my MA6600 and D100 with the MC312 and D1100 in 2019.

AS I have been listening to everything "flat" lately, perhaps I will just connect the D1100 directly to the 312 and not bother with adding an additional pre-amp in the chain.

Any opinions and advice?

Do it up. That's how I'm set up and I'm very happy with it.

MC1000 was the first quad balanced design.

I’ve owned all 3 of these amps. The 312 hands down the best of the three. Easily the best 2 channel Mc amp I’ve owned over the years.

Hey JWJW, could you share why you preferred the 312?

It just sounded better (to me). The only way I can describe it...super dynamic and punchy.

Decided to keep my MC312 as it is super dynamic and punchy.

Regardless of power level, heatsinks barely get warm.
