Should I do the Mod Wright upgrade on my BDP95 or wait for the new 105?

I would say that depends on how badly you want/need the digital inputs. I have no doubt that the 95 mod will be easily adapted to the 105, so if you are able to wait until next spring, it might be worth it for you...

If you want it soon, get the 95. If you can wait until 2013, get the 105. Dan Wright needs time to study and modify the 105.

Man, you guys are giving me something to think about but, since I already have the 95, I'll enjoy it for awhile till the 105 comes out with a mod. Thanks for the advise.

Oppo 103 details have been posted on the company's site.

OPPO Digital - Universal Network 3D Blu-ray Players - Buy Direct from the Manufacturer

Hopefully we will get the official scoop on the 105 soon.

Rock.......Thanks for the link. It's good to know the BDP-105 will use two ESS Sabre32 Reference DACs and offer three digital inputs to those DACs, including asynchronous USB. I see there will be a price bump for the BDP-105 to $1199.00, with availability next month. Even with the $200.00 increase, it is still a screaming bargin.

Performance dependent characteristics in the league of the MVP891. It would be interesting for someone to do a side by side comparison.

Advantage Oppo for introducing DAC inputs on a universal player. Digital is cheap if you're an instant coffee drinker.
