Buying without listening is always a difficult decision, especially when a lot of money is involved (at least for me), but the nice thing in this forum is that one can read about a huge variety of experience and opinions from other audiophiles which provides at least a feel for the gear. In the present case I'm not so much worried about quality but more on breakfast hot or cold :-)). Of course it would be interesting to know how the amps compare to famous McIntosh. In answer to NVP's worries I am luckily also in a position to adapt my rack at low cost. Thanks for all the input.

Wow! Wonderful. Congratulations. Did you have a chance to compare them to
the MC 1.2kw?

MC1.2KW sounds "fuller" and much bolder, FAT sound?!. The Accuphase is more "snappy" and delivers more details and "stage" in the soundscape.

Both have the ability to play very low and loud without changing the sound signature.

In my setup and room, the Accuphase nailed it! The huge sounding MC saturated my room very easy, and the sound become more turbid and undefined. I love both the MC og Accuphase, its all about personal taste.

Thx, spurv.
