I've always loved the LS50s. They sounded brilliant. Easy to listen to.
But I recently had the chance to pit them against the DALI Epicon 2s. Was surprised at just how much darker the LS50s were in their presentation. I never noticed this before when I listened to them on their own. Still amazing speakers tho.

I really liked my LS50's. Great little speaker and I would have loved to keep them. Unfortunately, at this point I can not afford to keep two sets of speakers ... and the Music Culture speakers are just too good to pass up.
I wanted to start saving for a pair of KEF Reference speakers but after getting the MC's that thought is no longer in my mind (not to say it won't come back )... |

Anyone have any ideas whether the LS50s with an Arcam A19 and Velodyne Subwoofer would be a decent system?

Nice... I have never heard the Ref 5s. I have heard the Ref 3s and loved them. I was thinking of eventually getting Ref 1s. They would work fine on my current stands (which are really heavy duty). In my room I just do not have space for larger floor standing (let alone the budget for them ).

Very interesting. I would prefer the walking around vs having to sit to appreciate.
