Mac6700
Hello all,
Does anyone happen to know the exact DAC model and its characteristics which is installed in MAC6700 receiver? Thank you |

A quick google makes me think it's Burr-brown based.

I believe it is the same as what was in the MAX70 that I used to own. If so it is the Burr-Brown. It has PCM only capability (no DSD).

I also made a quick google search but I do need the exact model and its characteristics.
Someone has mentioned to me that it is the same as in C2300 and in D100 but I can not find any proofs at all. |

I know it has no DSD capabilities, but my point is that to me it is so good (and I hope I am not so death with my years) that I did compare it with the famous Esoteric brand - K05 which has 4 pairs of mono DACs and the MAC one did sound much better to me. That is why I am so curious about its characteristics.

There is no DAC in the C2300. My feeling is that the DAC in the MAC6700 is the same as the D100.

The D100 uses a ESS Sabre 8 channel chipset with PCM file capability (32bit/192kHz).

I'm sorry, it is my fault, it was C2500, not C2300.
