Got this by the mail today.
Got my wife som flowers to. Keeps her calm...

This is a mixed tape from a real master copy from the studio Opus 3.

Sounds fabulous.

Had a Revox A77 a long time ago, but had to sell it. Only have an Akai 4000DS packed away in a cupboard now!

I recently visited a studio with young producers and engineers. They are born in the digital era but they like the analogue sound better. Therefore the only use old good quality analogue tape recorders from Ampex and analogue mixer.
There is hope for the future.

One more trip to Stockholm.
Why?
The was a very nice Studer A807 för sale. Great condition.
The last model from Studer and with all the new functions. It had to go home with me...









User and service manual.



B67 vs. A807



A807 rewinds the tape 3times faster than B67.
In A807 a microprocessor controls it all. Its easy to wind the tape to a certain time and a lot of other things.

It's calibrated to SM900 tapes. That is good, I hope.

Analogue Productions have so far got 12 titles on tape. Master tape copies.
I tried one.













I have never heard classical music in this way from a system before. The transients is fast as lightning, from nothing to max in no time. Dynamics and the presence of the instrument is adorable. My Brinkmann Balance is not even close... It sounds compressed... still it sounds good. But it's much more easy to hear the flaws when you hear something much better.

This is really geting it closer to the real deal. Live music.
