Pider,

Thanks for your thoughts. System building is certainly a tricky business, and where to begin is always an issue.

I am more and more impressed with the KWI-200, and only use the built-in DAC. My previous system with these speakers were Cambridge Audio 840 series amp, preamp, and CDP. All of those pieces received outstanding reviews in the audio press and are considered great values for the money. With the arrival of the ModWright, all of those pieces will go up for sale. There is just so much more synergy between my speakers and the ModWright.

Good luck in your hunt! It is certainly going to be a fun ride.

Okay...with about a month or so of break-in, I have to say that this is one TREMENDOUS amplifier. The pairing with my Sonus Fabers is just terrific. The built-in DAC is punchy yet smooth and completely without digital nastiness. The best integrated amp available? Who knows, but I think it will hold its own with anything out there.

That is awesome, Kevin, and I'm very glad to hear that the KWI200 has worked out so well for you!

Based on my time spent listening to it, I certainly agree with your conclusions!

Have had the KWI200 for one week and its great. Total silent!

Is there a best way too burn in the KWI 200? I also use it with TV and wonder if it should be burned in while playing music and therefor more use of power..

Welcome AIB!

Congratulations on your KWI200 - it's a fantastic integrated amp!

Regarding burn in, I would think that variation in type of music/sound and volumes would be best and is what I have done in the past.

Hi All,

Fellow KWI 200 user reporting. glad to find a thread on KWI 200 here an "meet" other users.

This is indeed a value for money int amp, couple with good support from Modwright and good 5 yrs warranty.

Can share what speakers are fellow users pairing with the KWI 200? I am using Cabasse Bahia now, good speaker but feel that it is time to upgrade and let the KWI 200 shows its full potential. Currently looking to pair it with Aerial Acoustics 7T floor stander. Anyone heard the pairing? any comments on the compatibility?

Thanks in advance

Cheers

I haven't heard the pair together, so I can't speak to the synergy, but I can say that the Aerials are terrific speakers, and the KWI200 will have absolutely no problem with powering them to their full potential!
