Did you ever consider The Magnepan 20.7’s?

No where around here to audition them. There are so many speakers too choose from. I'd love to have a weekend where vendors brought them to my house for audition, two by two

New MC462 and 803 D3s arrived today and all all hooked up and functioning wonderfully !! I don't have much wiggle room for speaker placement but I am experimenting a bit. I also have new interconnects and speaker wires, so everything is going to be breaking in in the next few weeks. Glad to be a member of the club !!

Oh yeah me as well, my dealer compares the 20.7 to the 803D3’s and says the B&W’s are more detailed and the 20.7 have a broader soundstage.

Thanks ps7256 and mcpaf76 ! So far I am thoroughly enjoying my new system ! Further more, my wife likes it, although she wouldn't "get it" if she saw the invoice .

On first listen I found the system very transparent and very "present" compared to my previous system (MC352 + N802s) and a bit bright. After 30 some hours I find the brightness diminishing (either my ears or the system) and a warmth emerging. The detail is amazing. When deep bass is present (rock and electronic music) it is fast and very tight ... just the way I like it ! I'm listening right now to some light jazzy guitar (Wes Montgomery) and he says "Hello" to all of you

MintakaX, so good to hear that you are enjoying and all is going well with your new system I have noticed as well with the MC462 and B&W 804’s that there is a softness, but real musical clarity, particularly with Piano and orchestra, (Beethoven Piano Concerto 5). I was at my dealers today picking up a PS Audio Powerport and Noise Harvester and was checking out a pair of 802D3’s, gorgeous. I am so tempted at the moment. [emoji41]

Its a tough call.... spending so much on speakers. I'm still not certain how I succumbed to the temptation myself ! I'm glad that I did, but $22K ... really ? I just spent $22K on speakers ?
