Bluetooth Speaker for Travel Trailer
So the wife, daughter, and I took out the camper for the first time this year over the weekend. Made a long weekend out of it since I worked over Memorial Day. Had a great time except for one awful, horrible, terrible thing... The speakers and Bluetooth stereo included in the trailer. Yuck. I ended up just streaming via my LG V30's built in speaker because it sounded better. No joke.
Pic I found on the internet of the type speakers on the KZ Connect. So, I'm looking for a portable Bluetooth speaker that I can operate without internet AKA via Bluetooth only. Honestly, I'm budget flexible and a battery would be a plus but not a requirement. We always get camp sites with power, have to traveling with a 4 month old baby requires the power. I really really don't want it to have Alexa or Google Home. I don't need a free wiretap device when I'm at a campground. Units I've looked at: Denon HEOS 7 Naim Mu-so Qb B&W Zeppelin or T7 Bluesound Pulse 2 (or Pulse Flex w/Battery) Riva Turbo X Any input would be appreciated. Oh, and the wife says no separates. Small trailer with limited counter space. Don't even go there I've already tried. Needs to be an all in one type box. Last edited by godwinaj; 06-05-2018 at 09:45 PM. |

Have you looked at the JBL Charge 3 or Xtreme? Not super high quality sound, but keep in mind, we are talking about Bluetooth and portable after all.

The Dynaudio Music 5 just got a great review in this month’s HiFi+. There are also smaller models below the 5.

Saw that Dynaudio was making that. Have not seen anything about them in the USA.

We sell a lot of Bluetooth speakers in our VZW stores and frankly most sound like total crap. I have Sonos at home so I was hoping for something that sounded at least as good as a Play:One. |

Harman makes the HEOS line. I own the largest model: it provides superb, large room filling sound with plenty of bass that is not boomy. The current models feature bluetooth, and I think at least one model has a rechargeable battery. Also, they can be paired for true stereo imaging, if you like.
The HEOS tablet/phone app is functionally adequate. |

I love my Dali Katch.
Over 20 hours of battery capacity, good sound, and if you have 2 they can connect and play in stereo. I had the B&W T7, also good but not quite at the Dali's level.

I’m very happy with my large Fugoo long battery life, easy to hookup and waterproof. Oh and the sound is very good for this type of speaker

wifey has one of these...
Two full range drivers, subwoofer and passive bass radiator deliver incredibly powerful sound. Connect any Bluetooth or NFC enabled device, or use the AUX input to connect any non-Bluetooth devices. Up to 14 hour built-in portable battery life, for plenty of on the go audio. Complete hands-free control of your audio using the gesture control built in to the units control panel. Speakerphone compatibility allows you to make and receive phone calls to connected smart phones using the built-in microphone. Expertly crafted fabric finish from world-renowned weaver Marton Mills.

The Peachtree deepblue2 is the best Bluetooth speaker I’ve ever heard.
Definitely not as portable, (and needs to be plugged it). I wouldn’t be without mine.
