DCS Debussy DAC and 2-wire AES/EBU
Anybody driving their Debussy DAC with dual AES/EBU cables? If so are the AES1 and AES2 lights supposed to be on when playing a DSD file? I have the Debussy input set to AES2 when listening in the 2-wire configuration.
I have an Aurender W20 connected to the Debussy DAC and the Aurender Conductor software is set to “Use Dual Wire” as its output. Not sure if there is supposed to be some indicator on the Debussy when connected with two AES/EBU cables. |

I read the user manual and it references selecting an option that doesn’t exist on the Debussy.

The user manual says: Press the INPUT button (G) repeatedly to cycle through the available digital inputs, the selected input will be shown by the input indicators (J). The sequence is USB, AES 1, AES 2, AES 1 + 2 (Dual AES), SPDIF 1, SPDIF 2, USB etc. For Dual AES input indicators (J) AES 1 and AES 2 should light simultanously. Please also check the Debussy software history on the dCS homepage: It seems that from software version 2.0 (01.04.2011) onwards, a new hardware DDP was required (Debussy DAC Plus). The previous hardware was called DDC (Debussy DAC). DSD support was added with software 2.10 (01.01.2013); Single AES 192kHz was added with software 2.20 (01.07.2013); DXD and dCS-encrypted DSD was added with software 2.30 (09.01.2018). If you do not have the latest Debussy hardware (Debussy DAC Plus) or software (2.30), I'd suggest you contact your dealer or dCS directly, giving them your full length serial number together with your software version.
