that's a very logical answer my friend
I just wanted to chatter a bit about bass and woofers.
Think i'm gonna order a DB3D or 2D without thinking to much about it.

BUT :
- why do they both go to 8hz at -6db ? I do not find this logical.

- do you think there is ANY information below +-50hz on classical cd's ?(polyphonic chant, old music, shubert lieder, Bach cantatas, etc...) => as for the use of buying a sub

Sorry to wander off the REL S series model but two years ago I listened to as many subs as I could and last year bought two REL G1 Gibraltar subs as I've never heard anything as musical as these units. I listen to LOT of live music and want that extra low end available if I desire it.
REL really delivers and I'm very pleased.

I recently acquired the 805D3 speakers in rosenut and really would have liked to have a B&W sub in matching rosenut, from an aesthetic standpoint. I was hard pressed to find much positive feedback on B&W subs on the forums and the B&W dealer was not a fan of them either. Plus, as mentioned no new models to be heard anywhere near me. Ended up with a single S/5 over a JL fathom 10. To be fair, the JL was unboxed the night before I came in to demo it, so less than 12 hours on it. I got a great deal on the S/5 which went a long way on the decision plus tons of REL fans out there and something about thier speakon connection I like in theory but no way of knowing if the implementation is superior in any way...
