Alberto...beautiful looking room. And as Serge said, looking at the pics transmits the sense of warmth and "delicious" sound. Very nice indeed

It's actually 11 x 14 x 9. Far from ideal, but there are some advantages to a smaller room - a few watts and mid-efficiency speakers go a long way.

I also have a quite a bit of room treatment in it - nicely hidden in what appears to be regular furniture and decor. For example:

- Two 2' x 6 ' panels of 2" fiberglass to cut some reflections on the sides - hidden behind a beautiful 6' x 6' tapestry.

- Ultra-heavy and double-lined custom draperies in the back wall to cut down some back reflections.

- 3x Alberto's Custom "Surrealistic Pillows" my very own design 2' x 2' x 6" pillows with 3 different layers of absorption material.

I had more treatments before, but the room was starting to sound too "dead" so I removed until I achieved a good balance.

Also, I put the gear in the (heavily treated) closet because:

1) It left more floor space for positioning the speakers.
2) If I close the closet door, the gear is protected by a lot of vibrations - and it does make a difference (but I still keep it open 'cause I like looking at the gear.)
3) It keeps housekeepers and kids safely away.

I put a lot of thought into it - precisely because it was not an ideal room in terms of size. The results are great. I can't bear to leave it :-).
