...and finally the 802's in the surround positions

The left 802

The right 802

Wow! Nice upgrade How does your center channel compare to the 800's or even the 802's for movies?

Thanks.

The center does quite well, it holds it own especially when it's just dialog but you can notice it's lack of authority and weight compared to the other 4 speakers with music. This wasn't quite as noticeable when I had the Paradigm 100's in the surround position but now with the 802's in those positions the seamless integration with the 800's just makes me grin from ear to ear. I have had a few different setups over the years, all with timbre matched speakers from the same lineup but this is the first I have encountered situations where I have not been able to tell when sound transitions from the fronts, to the fronts and surrounds then to the surrounds. The 800's and 802's just project the sound out into the room so well with wide dispersion that seems to allow for this blurring of the directionality.

Thanks

Agreed, for home theater, absolutely over kill, no question about it, but for music, especially as a person who likes discrete surround music and using matrix processing on stereo sources as I do it's incredible.

Rod... This is AA. Absolute over kill is not possible here.
