Resonant Woods had a pair returned from being lightly damaged in shipping and have been refurbished. All Brooks has to do is finish sanding and varnishing them; here's a photo of them refurb'd and awaiting sanding and varnishing.



Here's a pic of what the stands when they were first built; the refurb'd stands will be very close in appearance to this.



This worked out well; I saved $400 over the price of new stands, as well as 4-5 weeks in lead time for a new order...

I think “figured” just means the growth of the wood grain is distorted in some way. Figured maple can come in different varieties, I think birds-eye and tiger or curly are the most common.

Jack - Overture is a Harbeth dealer (at least they were 2yr ago) and has several of their models for audition. I listened to the 3.1s with the McIntosh MA252 some time back. While quite musical and enjoyable, the combo was congested in the mids with orchestral/complex music. Don't know if it was the 3.1s, the MA252 or the combination. 3.2s may be better.

Harbeth congested? They better not be since the midrange is their forte and primary objective. You can tell how the 30.2 can easily resolve the very slight changes in pitch in Melody Gardot's voice here. https://youtu.be/YxUd1nK_mys

If you do, be sure to listen to them with NAIM, Hegel or Pass Labs. The Harbeths pair well with those electronics.
