I just heard back from Bill Duddleston at Legacy. Turns out my Whisper XD's (which I purchased and had installed last July) are actually the new Whisper XDS.
The difference, he tells me, is internal caps and silver wire on the tweeter. Sent from my iPad using A.Aficionado
