Students can be so helpful..
One of our studes, who rents in the same appt block, told me that all the flats have brick walls, ceiling sides and floors. She can't hear a thing. With no one upstairs or to the bedroom side, it very much appears that a loud wake up call from my Ruark R5, and the odd bit of trumpet playing with or without a mute, are very much in the offing. Tap dancin' anyone? We shall see. I semi yearn to be a tap dancin' fool once more.
As Blighty lurches in to the 20th century, this is indeed startling news, and I had to sit down in a dark room with a cup of tea to get over the shock. I hate TV, so in the purpose built nacelle in the lounge I might be tickling the bow strings of this 'ere site before long; the price of a top plasma screen should cover a pretty nice assemblage. |

It is nice to have some confirmation that you can crank it up without concern about the disturbing the neighbors.
