Love BW.
Heard 802D2 and 802D3 side by side, easy to tell the evolution forward. |

B&W
I love B&W, too, Joey. Obviously, you liked the 802 D3s more. Did you buy them?

Look at his footer. He has a great thread comparing 800 and 802 both D3’s in this forum. Have a look.

As for getting into a lot of B&W reviews, we're getting close to the age where discerning subtle differences in audio is a bit of a stretch. I'm surprised, to be honest, that we could hear the differences I mentioned in my comments about our recent B&W 800 D3 audition. In fact, we were far more interested in the Mac equipment that was converting the digital stream to analog than any of the other "shiny" things in that sound room. ADDENDUM: ...and speaking of signatures, do you like the HTM1 that you got to match up with your N802 speakers?

Totally understand! The 800 D3's are $36k CAN. Ouch. I paid $7k for my then slightly used 802N's

Bought them twice hahah... First I bought them, then traded them in for 800D3, then bought them back again as a trade back. |

What's the main difference between 802D3 and 800D3? I thought the latter is supposed to be an "upgrade"?

It is, the crossover is better in the 800s, you get 10” for the low end instead of 8” and I swear I read the plinth is different on the 800 vs the 802/803 but that might be a mistake. The 800s can handle 2x the power of the 802.
In the end of the 800s don’t work in the room, the 802s may be a better option.
