I am hopefully around two or three weeks away from Sophia 3s and getting excited. My dealer lent me a set of Transparent MusicWave Ultra speaker cable really nice upgrade over a set of Oracle V4 I have had for years.
Any idea how long it takes to break them in, I thought I would hook up to my Linn Classic for a few days before getting them placed by my dealer.

Break-in is 100 hours.

Congrats and enjoy!

Regards,
No, never tried the combo, but I am pretty sure you would need A LOT more amp than my 15 watt Montille.

I have heard of people using the larger Shindo amps with Wilson speakers and loving the results.

Interesting:

Minimum amplifier power for the Sophia 3: 25 WPC.
Minimum amplifier power for the MAXX 3 : 20 WPC.

No doubt due to the MAXX 3's greater sensitivity.

Congrats, TMcD! What color did you order them in? And no doubt you will love the Transparent cables

The new USB connection is supposed to be light years ahead of the DAC7's.
AeroSmith.... I know it's still breaking-in, yet can't find any reviews of the DAC8. How is it sounding?

As of yesterday, the DAC8 wasn't even on their web-site yet.
