I purchased a copy of The Martian for my ultraviolet collection last night ($14.99 price included full HD movie and 3 featurettes).
I agree with pretty much everything that has been said. Definitely a must-see, an excellent film for sure. Both Martian and Interstellar are winners IMHO. Martian could be considered a more "conventional" story of courage and survival, (to me it seemed somewhat reminiscent of Apollo 13) while Interstellar has a broader scope, transcending time (with similarities to 2001: A Space Odyssey). Martian is not a perfect movie (I've yet to see one that is, especially in the Sci-fi genre) but I definitely recommend it. Five of Five stars.
